Job Description – Electrician & Maintenance Technician

Position: Electrician & Maintenance Technician
Qualification: ITI Pass (Electrician Trade preferred)
Department: Maintenance / Administration
Reports To: Management / Maintenance In-charge

Job Purpose

Responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance requirements across all departments, attending minor electrical repairs, coordinating major repairs and breakdowns with outsourced service providers, and ensuring smooth coordination with all departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day overall maintenance activities across all departments.
- Attend to minor electrical repairs, faults, wiring, switches, sockets, lighting, fans, and other electrical equipment.
- Identify electrical faults and take timely corrective action.
- Coordinate and liaise with outsourced vendors/contractors for major electrical repairs, equipment breakdowns, and specialized maintenance work.
- Follow up with outsourced parties to ensure breakdowns and repair jobs are completed within the required time.
- Maintain proper records of DG fuel receipts, consumption, balance, and supply.
- Monitor basic DG-related maintenance requirements and report any abnormalities.
- Coordinate smoothly with all departments regarding maintenance complaints and requirements.




- Attend maintenance requests promptly and ensure minimum disruption to departmental operations.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, repairs, breakdowns, and vendor visits as required.
- Ensure basic electrical safety practices are followed during maintenance work.
- Escalate major technical issues and maintenance requirements to management.
- Support other general facility and maintenance activities as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI Pass, preferably in Electrician trade.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, fittings, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle minor electrical repairs independently.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with and coordinate outsourced technicians/vendors.
- Basic record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and capable of responding to maintenance breakdowns promptly.
