Job Summary
This role supports procurement operations by ensuring timely review of purchase requisitions, accurate creation and amendment of purchase orders, order confirmations, and resolution of basic invoice discrepancies. The individual handles buyer desk queries within the team, maintains precise records in procurement systems, and contributes to a smooth workflow by applying foundational supply chain management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review purchase requisitions and create or modify purchase orders using supply chain management tools, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with process guidelines.
2. Confirm order details with suppliers via email or internal communication platforms, following up to secure acknowledgments and status updates.
3. Expedite purchase orders by monitoring delivery timelines in procurement systems and escalating delays as per standard procedures.
4. Identify and address basic invoice discrepancies by coordinating with internal team members and updating records in relevant databases.
5. Respond to buyer desk queries through email or chat,



providing explicit information and escalating complex issues to senior team members when required.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data entries in supply chain management systems, supporting effective reporting and audit readiness.
Skill Requirements
1. Basic Understanding Of Supply Chain Management Processes And Purchase Order Lifecycle.
2. Familiarity With Procurement Software And Data Entry Tools.
3. Good Communication Skills For Handling Queries And Confirmations Via Email Or Chat.
4. Basic Analytical Skills To Identify Discrepancies And Inconsistencies.
5. Ability To Work Flexibly In Shifts As Per Operational Requirements.
Other Requirements
1. Optional: Certification in SAP MM, Oracle SCM, or similar procurement tools is valuable.
