- Generate new business through cold calling, references, LinkedIn, and market visits.
- Identify and approach exporters, importers, manufacturers, traders and existing logistics customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Handle enquiries and provide competitive sea freight, air freight and logistics quotations.
- Follow up on quotations and convert leads into confirmed shipments.
- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Keep track of market freight rates and competitor activities.
- Maintain a database of leads, customers and sales activities.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales preferred.
- Good knowledge of import/export and international freight forwarding.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Should be confident in client meetings and cold calling.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Good knowledge of Mumbai/Navi Mumbai export-import market would be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong sales skills can also be considered.
