Job Overview

We are looking for motivated individuals to join as Admission Counsellors. In this role, you will help students and working professionals learn about upGrad's courses & programs and guide them through the enrollment process.

Responsibilities

- Dedicate a minimum of 3 hours daily to outreach and counselling activity

- Generate and connect with 3-5 new, verified leads per day, virtually or in person

- For each prospect contacted, record their name, contact number, and the specific course(s) they've shown interest in

- Guide and counsel candidates on upGrad's offline programs, or any other course/program specifically designated by management

- Explain course details, eligibility, and the admission process to interested candidates clearly and accurately

- Guide candidates through documentation and the enrollment process

- Coordinate with the internal team to complete each admission smoothly

- Attend a daily end-of-day (EOD) meeting for data transfer and input verification

- Participate in a weekly performance review with the designated point of contact

- Maintain records of prospects contacted and the status of each lead

- Follow up consistently with prospects through to final enrollment

- Build trust-based relationships with prospective students

- Attend office visits once every two months, as required

- Support other admission-related activities as mutually agreed

Requirements & Skills

- Open to students, fresh graduates, and experienced professionals with an interest in education/career counselling

- Prior experience in sales, counselling, or education preferred but not required

- Good communication skills (English and/or Hindi/regional language, as needed)





- Comfortable communicating virtually or in person

- Basic proficiency with computers/smartphones and internet use

- Able to commit at least 3 hours daily to outreach, plus a daily EOD check-in

- Available for a weekly performance review

- Able to attend the Chandigarh office once every two months (mandatory)

Compensation

- Fixed pay: Rs. 6,000-10,000/month, based on interview and meeting the defined KRA - 3 hours of daily engagement and 3-5 new, verified leads per day

- Incentive: Incentive of Rs. 2,000-10,000 on successful enrollment.

- Lead verification: All leads are verified before being counted toward the KRA

- Payout terms: Fixed pay is released on a fixed monthly cycle, subject to KRA compliance being met and leads being verified. Incentive pay is released after being confirmed, as per standard processing timelines. Full terms are communicated during selection/onboarding.
