Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to lead quality control, chemical analysis, and process optimization in our seaweed manufacturing operations. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality production of marine-based products such as agar, alginate, and other extracts, while maintaining compliance with industry and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead chemical analysis of seawater, raw seaweed, and finished products
- Monitor key parameters such as pH, salinity, mineral composition, and contaminants
- Oversee quality control processes in seaweed extraction (agar, alginate, carrageenan)
- Develop and improve processing techniques to enhance yield and product quality
- Conduct testing for impurities, heavy metals, and microbiological safety
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO)
- Manage laboratory operations,



including calibration and maintenance of equipment
- Prepare and review technical reports, SOPs, and documentation
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and R&D; teams
- Train and mentor junior chemists and lab technicians

Required Qualifications:

- Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Marine Chemistry / Biochemistry / Chemical Engineering
- 5–10 years of experience in seaweed processing / marine / food / chemical industries
- Strong knowledge of marine raw materials and extraction processes

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
