Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager - Cloud Engineering to lead and grow a team of cloud engineers within the project. This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, delivery accountability, and stakeholder management. The candidate needs to have deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and modern platform engineering, coupled with a strong track record of managing engineering teams and delivering complex cloud initiatives.

The role will be equally responsible for driving technical execution, ensuring delivery excellence, mentoring engineers, managing priorities across multiple workstreams, and collaborating closely with onshore stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership & People Management
- - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers or/and technical leads.
- Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, career development discussions, and coaching sessions.
- Support resource planning, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning activities.
- Foster technical excellence through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.

- Delivery & Execution Management
- - Own end-to-end delivery of cloud infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent projects and operational workstreams.
- Ensure timely delivery of commitments while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and security.
- Establish delivery metrics, monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively drive mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remove blockers and improve execution efficiency.

- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- - Serve as the primary offshore point of contact for onshore leadership and business stakeholders.




- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates, delivery reviews, and transparent communication.
- Influence decision-making through technical expertise, data-driven recommendations, and strategic thinking.
- Facilitate effective collaboration across engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams.

- Technical Leadership & Governance
- - Provide technical oversight for Azure cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, container platforms, monitoring solutions, and automation frameworks.
- Review and guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, observability, and cloud-native best practices.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, operational processes, and governance frameworks.
- Lead technical reviews, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Cloud & Platform Engineering
- - Guide the design, deployment, and management of scalable Azure cloud environments.
- Drive standardization and automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Oversee containerization and orchestration platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Promote DevOps best practices and CI/CD adoption using GitHub Actions and related tooling.

- Operational Excellence
- - Ensure platform stability, reliability, security, and performance through proactive management.
- Lead incident management, problem resolution, and post-incident reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and operational maturity.
- Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to measure service performance and team effectiveness.
- Champion a culture of operational ownership and customer-centric delivery.

- - Proven experience leading and managing cloud engineering or platform engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong experience managing delivery commitments across multiple projects and stakeholders.

- Technical Expertise
- - Deep experience designing and managing enterprise-scale Azure cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)



using Terraform.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and performance management using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or equivalent technologies.

- Stakeholder & Communication Skills
- - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation and leadership skills for executive and stakeholder interactions.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams and managing offshore-onshore collaboration models.

- Proven experience identifying risks, resolving complex technical challenges, and driving organizational improvements.

- Experience
- - 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related technology domains.
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, technical leads, or cloud delivery organizations.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, or platform engineering initiatives.
- Experience working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments preferred.

Preferred Skills:

- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
- Experience managing cloud platform, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering teams.
- Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and cloud governance frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise security, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of AI/ML platform infrastructure, modern platform engineering concepts, or Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) is a plus.
