Job Description: Litigation Profile – Beacon Trusteeship Limited

Position Title: Litigation -Manager – Legal (Litigation) Department

Location: Vashi/ BKC, Mumbai

Role Overview

The litigation professional will be responsible for managing and representing the company in all legal proceedings related to its trusteeship business. This includes protecting investor interests, handling disputes, defaults, and enforcement actions.

For the aforementioned purpose to attend Court proceedings, briefing of counsels, appearing and giving statement before any governmental or police authorities etc.

Key Responsibilities

- Legal Representation & Litigation
- Represent the company and debenture holders in legal forums, courts, and government authorities, Police authorities including but not limited to proceedings before NCLT, DRT, and other appropriate forums.
- Initiate and pursue legal proceedings for enforcement of security or recovery of amounts on behalf of debenture holders, including insolvency, bankruptcy, and winding up cases.
- Undertake counsel briefing pertaining to any disputes, defaults.
- Attending COC meetings in any CIRP process and representing the debenture holders.
- Co-ordinating with debenture holders and addressing debenture holders meetings.
- Drafting & Documentation
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents: notices, pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and settlement deeds relating to litigation and security enforcement.
- Compliance




- Ensure regulatory compliance under SEBI Debenture Trustee Regulations, Companies Act, IBC, SARFAESI Act, etc.
- Monitor and ensure all statutory filings and regulatory obligations (including periodic disclosures, asset monitoring, and reporting as per SEBI circulars).
- Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with lenders, investors, lawyers, valuers, and other stakeholders involved in litigation and enforcement actions.
- Keep investors apprised of litigation status, enforcement steps, and recovery prospects.

Qualifications

- LLB or LLM from a reputed institution.
- 4–6 years of experience in litigation, preferably in banking, corporate law, or trusteeship services.
- Sound knowledge of SEBI regulations, Companies Act, IBC, SARFAESI, and allied financial laws.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Thorough knowledge of court procedures and enforcement mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of proceedings before police.
- Analytical ability and robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple litigation matters concurrently.
- High integrity and commitment to investor protection.

Additional Duties

- Assist in audits (internal & external) relating to legal/litigation matters.
- Support the legal team on any other task assigned by management.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
