Basic Information
Position Title – Associate
Experience Level – 2-4 Years

Location – Gurgaon
Position reports to – Delivery Manager/ Associate Director
Job Purpose
This position is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. The position will report to Delivery Manager / Assistant Director, Private Markets
It will offer the opportunity to work with Private Equity teams of our clients across industries (technology, fintech, retail, financial services, transportation etc.) and assist them in devising their fund Administration, Fund Operations, Fund Reporting, portfolio monitoring and Fund valuation activities etc.
Key Responsibilities
§ Investor Reporting & Communication:
– Investor statements: Prepare & Review Capital call and distribution processes from end to end ensuring accurate quarterly statements, capital account allocations, and waterfall calculations via ILPA statements.
– Performance reporting: Assist in managing the internal and external reporting of profit and loss (P&L;), internal rate of return (IRR), and investment returns.
– Preparation of quarterly reports to investors on the funds’ and portfolio companies’ performance (comprising NAV, DVPI, TVPI, IRRs, costs and investors’ capital accounts)
§ Regulatory & Risk Reporting:
– AIFMD reporting: Assist inManaging Dutch AIFMD compliance by preparing and submitting ESMA-compliant Annex IV reports via the AFM Portal. Computes fund leverage using Gross and Commitment methods to meet the regulatory guidelines of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).
– Prepare Quarterly Risk Board Presentation and assist the team in Annex reporting on monthly and quarterly basis.
§ Valuation & News Monitoring:
– Review market news: Monitor financial news, earnings releases, and macroeconomic events to assess potential impacts on portfolio companies or asset valuations.
– Price verification: Collaborate with investment and operations teams to verify asset pricing using market data, news events, and model-based inputs.
– Distribution CF checks: Execute and review cash flow validation checks for fund distributions,
ensuring accurate calculation of investor payouts and waterfall allocations.
§ People Management:
– Assist in creating SOPs and providing training to junior members of the team
– Manage team morale to be able to navigate through pressure situations
– Provide effective, on-time and objective feedback to team members and be involved in their overall grooming and development
§ Client Management:
– Manage and maintain client relationships – would include regular interaction with client(s) to strengthen the relationship and identify opportunities to act as a solutions provider.
Key Competencies:
§ At least 2+ years of experience in Fund Administration, Fund Operations, Fund Accounting, Fund Reporting, Fund Valuation etc.
§ CFA, Chartered Accountant, MBA from a top tier business school
§ Strong knowledge of Fund Accounting and Private Equity, including NAV calculations, capital activities, and investor reporting.
§ Demonstrated expertise in the Financial Services (FS) industry, with a strong understanding of core concepts and market dynamics.
§ Dedicated and motivated individuals demonstrated academic excellence with strong leadership, analytical, communication and teamwork skills
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
§ Superior problem-solving abilities and strong analytical thinking to seek the why, how and so-what of a problem statement and ability to think multiple/alternative solutions to a given problem
§ Proven project management skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Sigma) is highly desirable.
