Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organized Lab Assistant to support the Science Department in conducting practical sessions and maintaining the school laboratories. The candidate will assist teachers and students during experiments, ensure proper handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals, and maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, chemicals, and apparatus required for practical sessions.
- Assist teachers during science experiments and laboratory activities.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
- Maintain records of laboratory inventory, equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate for timely procurement of required materials.
- Ensure proper labelling and safe storage of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Follow and enforce laboratory safety procedures and school safety guidelines.
- Assist students during practical activities under the supervision of teachers.
- Handle laboratory waste and disposal procedures as per safety guidelines.
- Report damaged, missing,



or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned authority.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the laboratory.
- Support the Science Department during exhibitions, projects, workshops, and special school activities.
- Ensure laboratories are ready before and properly secured after practical sessions.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate / Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Lab Assistant in a school, college, or educational institution is preferred.
- Experience with Cambridge/IGCSE laboratories will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in laboratory work may also be considered.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
