Sr. Engineer – Sourcing/Procurement

Experience: 3–5 years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

We are looking for a Sr. Engineer / Executive – Sourcing with hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and procurement within a manufacturing environment. The role will focus on developing capable suppliers, driving cost competitiveness, and ensuring reliable sourcing of mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, develop, and onboard new local and global suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and technical audits to assess manufacturing capabilities.
- Float RFQs, analyse supplier quotations, conduct cost comparisons, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Work closely with R&D;, Design, Quality, and Production teams for sourcing requirements related to new product development.
- Drive Value Engineering, alternate sourcing, localization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Develop alternate/dual sourcing for critical components to minimize supply risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and support resolution of quality, cost, and delivery-related issues.




- Evaluate suppliers based on manufacturing processes, capacity, quality capability, and commercial competitiveness.
- Understand manufacturing processes such as machining, grinding, sheet metal, and moulding.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and component specifications.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

- Strong understanding of Strategic Sourcing / Procurement / Supplier Development.
- Hands-on experience in supplier development and sourcing of mechanical components.
- Working knowledge of SAP and positive proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong negotiation and cost-analysis skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Effective cross-functional coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to assess manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹780,000.00 per year
