We are seeking a Machine Development Application Engineer – Software with strong Machine Building / Special Purpose Machine (SPM) experience to develop, integrate, test, debug, and commission software for automated machines and manufacturing systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, motion control, machine sequencing, industrial communication, and machine commissioning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance machine automation solutions.

Machine Building / SPM background is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and motion control software for automated machines.
- Design machine control architecture based on customer and process requirements.
- Develop machine sequences, state machines, alarms, interlocks, and safety logic.
- Integrate PLCs with servo drives, VFDs, robots, vision systems, barcode readers, sensors, and field devices.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/RTU, and IO-Link.
- Develop HMI screens for machine operation, diagnostics, recipe management, and production monitoring.
- Perform machine simulation, debugging, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production support.
- Troubleshoot software, communication, motion-control, and machine-related issues during development and customer installations.
- Optimize machine cycle time, reliability, performance, and sequence logic.




- Develop reusable software libraries and follow standard PLC/HMI programming practices.
- Prepare functional specifications, I/O lists, alarm lists, software documentation, and operating manuals.
- Support machine upgrades, modifications, customer change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Production, and Service Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for machine software and automation issues.
- Should have a robust Machine Building / SPM / Industrial Automation background.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in:

- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Instrumentation
- Automation
- Computer Science
- Related Engineering discipline

2–8 years of relevant experience in Machine Building, SPM, Industrial Automation, Machine Development, or Machine Software Development.
