Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SPM Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation systems, machine components, and assemblies as per customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
- Prepare detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Design machine structures, fixtures, jigs, brackets, tooling, and mechanisms.
- Select suitable mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, linear guides, ball screws, cylinders, and actuators.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain design documentation.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into machine concepts.
- Perform basic design calculations for strength, load, motion, and component selection.
- Coordinate with the Assembly,



Electrical, PLC, Purchase, and Production teams.
- Support machine assembly, trials, debugging, and modifications.
- Identify design issues during assembly and provide suitable corrective solutions.
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements and machine performance.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support machine installation and commissioning when required.

Software Skills

- SolidWorks – Mandatory
- AutoCAD – Preferred
- 3D modelling and assembly design
- 2D manufacturing drawing
- GD&T; knowledge
- BOM preparation
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and automation components
