Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM to develop, maintain, and support mission-critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills and hands-on experience in mainframe application development, production support, and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Design, code, test, and implement solutions based on business and functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing and scheduling.
- Design and support online transaction processing applications using CICS.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in DB2.
- Create and maintain VSAM files and ensure data integrity.
- Perform code reviews, impact analysis, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in production deployments, incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.




- Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards and organizational best practices.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL.
- Positive experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
- Experience developing and supporting CICS online applications.
- Strong knowledge of DB2, including SQL query development and performance tuning.
- Experience with VSAM file design and maintenance.
- Good understanding of batch processing and production support.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain.
- Exposure to Mainframe utilities such as File-AID, Abend-AID, Endevor, Changeman, or Expeditor.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in application modernization or API integration with Mainframe applications is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Pay: ₹41,667.00 - ₹65,365.19 per year
