We're building out a content brand and looking for a Creative Video Editor to turn raw footage into high-retention Reels and YouTube Shorts and longform that capture personality and story, not just polish.

This is not a basic cut-and-caption role. We need someone who can think like a content creator — pacing, hooks, and storytelling — not just follow a shot list.

This role has real room to grow.

As content output expands, so will scope and pay — we review compensation regularly as responsibilities increase.

What You'll Be Editing

- Face-forward, emotionally-driven Instagram Reels (food, and food related content is the core format)

- YouTube Shorts and longform repurposed from longer footage

- announcement content tied to upcoming projects

Key Responsibilities

- Edit videos with solid hooks, fast pacing, dynamic subtitles, motion graphics, and clean transitions

- Cut long-form footage into multiple short-form pieces

- Use AI tools to speed up production without sacrificing quality

- Keep a consistent, intimate, honest tone across edits — matching an established brand voice rather than a generic "viral" template

- Turn around edits on a reliable weekly cadence (5–10 Reels/week+ daily posts)

- Stay current on short-form trends and bring editing ideas proactively

Required Skills

- Strong portfolio of high-quality Reels/Shorts (send 5–10 samples)

- Expert-level Edits, Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut,



or similar

- Hands-on experience with AI editing tools (e.g. Runway, Kling, Veo, Opus Clip, Captions, HeyGen, or similar)

- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and retention — able to explain *why* a cut works, not just execute instructions

- Comfortable taking creative ownership rather than waiting for detailed briefs
