Job Title: Service Engineer – Air Compressor

Job Summary

Responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air compressors and related equipment such as air dryers, filters, and air receivers. The role involves regular customer-site visits and ensuring minimum equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission, and start up screw and reciprocating air compressors.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per OEM/company service schedules.
- Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot compressor faults.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-related problems.
- Troubleshoot issues such as high temperature, low pressure, oil leakage, vibration, overload, and compressor alarms.
- Service and maintain air dryers, filters, and air receivers.
- Carry out compressor overhauling, repairs, and component replacement.
- Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the spares team.
- Prepare service reports, job cards, and breakdown reports.
- Maintain machine history and service records.
- Explain technical issues and operating procedures to customers.
- Coordinate with Sales, Spares, Accounts, and Service teams.
- Follow safety procedures, OEM guidelines, and use appropriate PPE.
- Travel to customer locations as required.

Required Skills





- Positive knowledge of industrial air compressors and compressed-air systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of motors, control panels, sensors, PLCs, starters, and VFDs.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service manuals.
- Good problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for service documentation.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in servicing industrial air compressors, air dryers, pumps, or similar industrial equipment.
- Experience with Kaeser, Atlas Copco, ELGi, Ingersoll Rand, Kirloskar or similar brands will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,993.20 - ₹30,000.00 per month
