The RoleYou will teach across B.Com — one of Eastern UP's larger commerce programmes — and M.Com: financial and corporate accounting, business law, taxation, auditing and cost accounting, alongside applied work in Tally and spreadsheet-based accounting.Many BITE commerce students prepare for CA, CS or CMA in parallel with their degree. Supporting that track is part of the role, not an extra. It means teaching to a standard that holds up when the same student sits a professional foundation paper three months later.Full-time, on-site at Babatpur, Varanasi.Responsibilities Core teachingTeach financial accounting and corporate accounting at B.Com and M.Com level — including company accounts, amalgamation, holding company accounts, and accounting standardsTeach cost accounting and management accounting: costing methods, variance analysis, budgetary control, and decision-making applicationsTeach auditing — principles, procedures, internal control, company audit, and audit reportingTeach business law and company law papers as required by the MGKVP syllabusTeach business economics, statistics, and quantitative papers where departmental need requiresTaxationTeach direct taxation at degree level under the Income-tax Act, 2025, which replaced the 1961 Act with effect from 1 April 2026 — including the Tax Year concept, the restructured section framework, and the Income-tax Rules, 2026Teach GST — registration, supply, input tax credit, returns, and practical computation — with current provisionsDeliver practical computation exercises, not statute recitation. Students should leave able to compute a liability,
not define a term.Keep teaching material current as provisions change through the Finance Act cycleApplied and practical sessionsRun applied sessions in Tally — company creation, voucher entry, inventory, GST configuration, and reportingTeach spreadsheet-based accounting and financial analysis in ExcelBridge classroom theory to practice: source documents, working papers, and the formats students will meet in a firmCA / CS / CMA support trackAlign teaching with CA, CS and CMA foundation and intermediate syllabi so that degree study and professional preparation reinforce rather than competeAdvise students on which professional route suits them, registration timelines, and realistic preparation schedulesIdentify students with the aptitude for the skilled track early and encourage them into itAssessment, research and mentoringSet and evaluate internal assessments aligned to MGKVP examination patternsGuide M.Com project work and dissertationsMentor students toward banking and government examinations, professional courses, and higher studyContribute to departmental research output and, where possible,
publicationContribute to departmental and institutional academic and co-curricular activitiesQualificationsEssentialM.Com from a UGC-recognised universityUGC NET or PhD in Commerce or a closely related field — required for this appointmentAbility to teach Income Tax and GST at degree level with current provisions and practical computationComfort with accounting software and spreadsheet-based practicalsAbility to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levelFluency in Hindi and English — much of the teaching is bilingualPreferredWorking familiarity with the Income-tax Act, 2025 structure, given that the 2026–27 session is the first taught fully under itExperience supporting CA / CS / CMA aspirants alongside degree teachingProfessional qualification or part-qualification — CA, CS, CMA, or CA InterPrior teaching experience at degree level, particularly at PG levelPractical exposure from audit, accounting, or taxation practicePublications in commerce, accounting, or taxationHands-on Tally Prime experienceExperience supervising M.Com dissertationsWhat we offerRemuneration: As per institutional norms, commensurate with qualification and experience.
