Laboratory Assistant in the Electronics Lab of First Year Engg - Department of Engineering Sciences

We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Engineering Sciences for Electronics Lab of first year Engineering students at Vishwakarma University, Pune who is ready to take the responsibilities and to give his/her best while working in the laboratory.

Job duties and responsibilities:

1. Ensuring Safety of students
2. Executing routine tasks and following the strict methodologies for carrying out analyses.
3. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs,
4. Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt,
5. Follows up stock levels
6. Document the information by maintaining the daily logs and equipment record books,
7. Maintenance and Handling of Material
8. Ensure cleanliness of stock, maintain refrigerating equipment in close collaboration with the logistics department etc.,
9. Sharing weekly updates with the supervising authority,
10.



Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
11. Inventory management of lab equipment and electronic components.
12. Circuit assembly and testing :-

a) Breadboard prototyping

b) PCB handling

c) Soldering and desoldering

d) Component identification and testing

13. Any other work assigned by higher authority.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

- Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (preferred)

OR B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics,

Instrumentation, OR a related discipline.

- M.Sc. in Electronics
- Basic computer proficiency - Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of basic electronics:- Resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors

Digital electronics (logic gates, flip-flops, counters), Analog electronics fundamentals.

- Working knowledge of English and Marathi/Hindi language,
- Store management skills
- Inventory control skills
