Job Title: Software Developer

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Bangalore office.

What the day will look like

In this role, you will be involved in the full software lifecycle of the core calculation engine for Tyche and its supporting desktop IDE. We envisage that once established, the Bangalore team would be fully equipped to work independently of the UK teams, but collaborating on prioritisation and planning activities, and maintaining regular interaction to ensure that each team is fully aware of the other's work. A typical day would involve some or all of:

- Working with senior developers to implement and test new features in Tyche.
- Troubleshooting and resolving software defects
- Learning and contributing across different components of the Tyche.
- Participating in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.




- Collaborating with colleagues in Bangalore and the UK.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Essential Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, Python, or C++.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for technology and software development.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.




- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced development environment.

Nice to have

- Internship experience or relevant academic projects.
- Exposure to .NET C#.
- Exposure to databases and SQL concepts through coursework, internships, or projects.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
