About Vharta.ai
Vharta.ai is an enterprise Data + AI workflow execution platform built on a governance-first architecture. We let organizations run Apache Airflow DAGs, Langflow AI pipelines, and agentic AI workflows on a single multi-tenant platform — with Policy-as-Code (OPA), per-tenant cost metering, full observability, and SOC2 / HIPAA / GDPR compliance built in.
Our customers are platform engineering, security, and FinOps teams at SaaS companies, financial services, manufacturing, retail, telco, and healthcare organizations who need to govern AI and data workflows without rewriting their automations or getting locked into a single vendor. We are an early-stage, fast-moving team building the platform we always wished we had.
This is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage company. You will design and build core parts of the platform, set technical standards, and directly shape how we scale.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to build and scale the heart of the Vharta platform — the multi-tenant control plane, the workflow execution engine, the governance and metering layer, and the customer-facing console.
You will own features end-to-end across the stack: high-performance backend services in Go, a modern TypeScript frontend and tooling, and a robust data layer with PL/SQL. You will also help set the bar for how we build in the AI era — using AI-assisted "vibe coding" and its best practices to ship fast without compromising quality, security, or maintainability.
Because we sell a technical platform to technical buyers in regulated industries, engineering quality here is a first-class feature, not an afterthought.
What You'll Do
Build the Platform (Backend — Go)
- Design, build, and scale multi-tenant backend services and APIs in Go, with strong isolation, concurrency, and performance under load.
- Develop the workflow execution and orchestration layer that runs Airflow DAGs, Langflow pipelines, and agentic AI workflows across tenants.
- Integrate Policy-as-Code (OPA) enforcement, per-tenant cost metering, quotas, and audit trails into core services.
- Build and maintain integrations with the AI/LLM gateway, external engines, and cloud services.
Build the Experience (Frontend & Tooling — TypeScript)
- Build responsive, data-dense console and dashboard experiences in TypeScript (React or similar) for workflow management, observability, cost, and governance.
- Develop internal tooling, SDKs, and developer-facing libraries in TypeScript/Node.
- Partner with product and design to turn complex platform capabilities into clear,
usable interfaces.
Own the Data Layer (PL/SQL)
- Design schemas and write efficient, well-tested PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, packages) for metering, reporting, audit, and tenant data.
- Optimize complex queries and database performance for high-volume, multi-tenant workloads.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the persistence layer.
Set the Engineering Bar (Vibe Coding & Best Practices)
- Use AI-assisted development ("vibe coding") tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate delivery — while applying rigorous best practices so AI-generated code is safe to ship.
- Champion vibe-coding best practices across the team: clear specs and prompts, small verifiable increments, mandatory human review of AI output, solid test coverage, security scanning, and never merging code you don't understand.
- Establish guardrails, patterns, and internal guidelines that let the team move fast with AI without accumulating hidden risk or tech debt.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical standards.
Operate & Scale
- Ship production-grade, observable, secure code; own what you build through deployment and beyond.
- Work with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure for deployment, scaling, and reliability.
- Contribute to SOC2 / HIPAA / GDPR-aligned engineering practices and secure-by-default design.
What We're Looking For
Required (Must-Have)
- 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Strong hands-on Go — building scalable backend services, APIs, concurrency, and microservices in production.
- Strong TypeScript — modern frontend (React or similar) and/or Node.js services and tooling.
- Solid PL/SQL — writing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and complex queries; schema design and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted "vibe coding" AND its best practices — you actively use AI coding tools and know how to do it responsibly: reviewing and testing generated code, providing strong context, keeping humans in the loop, and maintaining security and code quality.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, APIs,
and testing.
- Ownership mindset — able to take a problem from ambiguity to shipped feature with minimal oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal English and clear technical communication.
- Based in / able to work from Bengaluru (on-site).
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and a major cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure).
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, Temporal), Langflow, or agentic AI frameworks.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, tenant isolation, and per-tenant metering/billing.
- Exposure to Policy-as-Code / OPA, and to observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience integrating LLMs / AI — LLM gateways, RAG, vector databases, or agent orchestration.
- Experience in regulated industries or building to compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Early-stage / startup experience where you helped set standards from scratch.
How You Work
- You take ownership and thrive with autonomy and ambiguity.
- You care about craftsmanship — clean, tested, secure, maintainable code.
- You move fast, but not recklessly; you know where speed is safe and where it isn't.
- You're a strong collaborator across product, design, and engineering.
- You're curious about AI and eager to push how modern software gets built.
What Success Looks Like
- First 30 days: ramped on the codebase and architecture; shipping meaningful improvements to Go services or the TypeScript console.
- 60–90 days: owning a core component end-to-end across backend, frontend, and data layers; influencing our vibe-coding practices and standards.
- 6 months: a go-to engineer for one or more platform areas, mentoring on AI-assisted development, and materially raising delivery velocity and quality.
Why Join Vharta.ai
- Build core technology at an early-stage platform company, with real ownership and influence over architecture and standards.
- Work on a genuinely hard, differentiated problem — governing AI and data workflows for enterprises.
- Modern stack and an AI-first engineering culture where vibe coding is embraced and done right.
- Direct access to founders and product, and room to grow into technical leadership as we scale.
Vharta.ai Private Limited is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team.
