Job Title: Azure API Management Developer / Specialist.

Location: Remote (US Time zone)

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and configure Azure API Management instances (Developer, Basic, Standard, Premium tiers)
- Create and manage API policies (rate limiting, caching, transformation, authentication/authorization, content safety for LLM/MCP/A2A traffic)
- Onboard internal and external APIs, define products, subscriptions, and versioning strategies
- Implement security controls including OAuth2.0, JWT validation, mutual TLS, and Azure AD integration
- Integrate APIM with backend services (Azure Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, microservices hosted on AKS clusters, on-prem systems/Hybrid Connections)
- Set up monitoring, logging, and analytics using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
- Implement centralized secrets management using Azure Key Vault integrated directly with APIM.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for APIM configuration using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, deploying containerized backends to AKS.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security issues across the API gateway
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery,



and multi-region deployment strategies for APIM
- Support API governance, developer portal customization, and self-service onboarding for API consumers

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management
- Develop and maintain API schemas (using Swagger/OpenAPI etc..) to establish standardized communication contracts between backends and client applications.
- Robust knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL APIs and integration patterns
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), OAuth2, OpenID Connect
- Experience with Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions (APIOps Toolkit) for CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with Azure networking (VNet integration, Private Endpoints, NSGs, Application Gateway/Front Door)
- Scripting experience in PowerShell or Azure CLI for operational automation is an added advantage.
- Understanding of API security best practices (rate limiting, IP filtering, threat protection)
- Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional team

Pay: ₹915,153.78 - ₹1,850,592.18 per year
