Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of an online proprietary trading business with cryptocurrency-related activities and limited inventory.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on accounting experience, with exposure to cryptocurrency transactions, inventory accounting, Chart of Accounts (COA) development, and accounting systems/process setup. This role is well suited for someone who can work independently and help establish efficient accounting processes for a growing business with relatively low transaction volumes.

Key Responsibilities

- Build, review, and maintain the Chart of Accounts (COA) based on the company's business and accounting requirements.
- Assess accounting requirements and help determine the systems, tools, and processes necessary to effectively run the accounting function.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Handle accounting for cryptocurrency payments and transactions, ensuring appropriate recording and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records related to inventory, including purchases, movements, and valuation.
- Reconcile bank, crypto, payment processor, and other relevant accounts.
- Establish and maintain appropriate accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Support financial reporting and provide accurate financial information to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, systems, and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting,



Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Hands-on experience with cryptocurrency / digital asset accounting or crypto-related transactions.
- Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts development and accounting processes.
- Experience working with or implementing accounting systems and workflows.
- Experience with inventory accounting.
- Strong bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and month-end close experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a proprietary trading, fintech, cryptocurrency, digital assets, or online business environment.
- Controller-level or accounting operations experience.
- Experience setting up accounting processes for a new or growing business.
- CPA or other relevant accounting qualification is a plus.
