Job Description:
The Perfusionist will be responsible for operating heart-lung machines and other equipment during cardiac surgeries and other medical procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. This role involves monitoring patient vital signs, managing blood flow and oxygenation, and ensuring the proper functioning of perfusion instruments. The Perfusionist will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care. Additionally, duties will include maintaining and troubleshooting perfusion equipment, documenting all procedures, and adhering to safety protocols and standards.

Skills and Tools Required:

- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and perfusion techniques




- Proficiency in operating cardiac and perfusion equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a surgical workplace
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping
- Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control standards
- Certification from a recognized perfusion certification organization (e.g., ABCP)
- CPR and ACLS certification
