Manual Pattern Making
Company Introduction

Varthagam International is a Tiruppur-based apparel manufacturing company specializing in T-shirts, knitted garments, and private-label apparel. We handle product development, sampling, production, quality control, finishing, packing, and shipment.

Position

Designation: Pattern Master
Department: Pattern / Sampling
Work Type: Manual Pattern Making

Main Responsibilities

- Manual Pattern Making
- Prepare garment patterns manually using paper, pattern tools, and measurements.
- Develop patterns according to the given sample, measurement chart, or design.
- Prepare patterns for T-shirts, polos, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other garments as required.

- Measurement Accuracy
- Take and understand garment measurements correctly.
- Prepare patterns according to the approved measurement chart.
- Check important measurements before giving the pattern for cutting.

- Sample Pattern
- Prepare patterns for new samples.
- Make pattern changes based on sample fitting.
- Correct the pattern until the required fit is achieved.

- Pattern Grading
- Prepare different sizes manually.




- Increase or decrease measurements correctly according to the required size chart.
- Ensure all sizes have proper shape and proportion.

- Pattern Correction
- Check the stitched sample for fitting problems.
- Identify pattern-related issues.
- Make necessary corrections to the pattern.

- Production Pattern
- Prepare the final approved pattern for production.
- Clearly mark all pattern pieces with size, style, fabric, quantity, and other necessary details.
- Ensure the correct approved pattern is given to the cutting team.

- Fabric Knowledge
- Understand basic fabric properties such as stretch, shrinkage, and GSM.
- Consider fabric behavior while preparing the pattern.

- Coordination
- Coordinate with the Merchandising, Sampling, Cutting, Production, and Quality teams.
- Support the team whenever there is a pattern or fitting issue.

- Pattern Maintenance
- Keep all master patterns safely and systematically.
- Maintain old and revised patterns separately.
- Ensure the latest approved pattern is used for production.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
