Job Purpose:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer with 3–7 years of experience in plant and machine maintenance, preferably from a battery manufacturing, automotive, electrical, electronics, or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant & Machine Maintenance:

- Ensure smooth and reliable operation of all production machines and plant equipment.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in machines.
- Minimize machine downtime and improve equipment availability.
- Attend breakdowns on priority and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
- Maintain maintenance history, breakdown records, and machine-related documentation.

2. Production Equipment Maintenance:

- Maintain and troubleshoot battery manufacturing equipment and production-line machinery.
- Monitor the condition and performance of critical machines and equipment.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of new machinery.

3. Electrical & Utility Maintenance:

- Monitor and maintain electrical panels, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control systems, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic PLC, VFD, control-panel, and automation-related issues.
- Ensure proper functioning of compressors, pumps, HVAC systems, DG sets, transformers, and other plant utilities, as applicable.
- Coordinate with external technicians/vendors for specialized maintenance requirements.

4. Preventive Maintenance:

- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain records of PM schedules, checklists, breakdowns, spare consumption, and machine history.
- Analyse breakdown trends and implement measures to reduce repeated failures.

5. Spare Parts & Vendor Coordination:

- Identify critical maintenance spares and maintain adequate inventory.




- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely procurement of maintenance spares.
- Evaluate spare-part requirements based on machine history and consumption.
- Coordinate with machine suppliers and service vendors for technical support and AMC-related activities.

6. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with plant safety procedures.
- Follow proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and electrical safety practices during maintenance work.
- Ensure machines and electrical installations are maintained in safe operating condition.
- Support statutory inspections and maintenance-related compliance requirements.

Ø Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of plant and machinery maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of motors, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, control panels, relays, contactors, etc.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse machine breakdowns and identify root causes.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with experience in any of the following environments will be preferred:

- Lithium-ion battery manufacturing/Battery pack manufacturing/Automotive/EV manufacturing/ Electrical/Electronics manufacturing.
- Industrial machinery and equipment maintenance
- Exposure to equipment such as cell sorting/grading machines, laser welding machines, battery assembly lines, BMS testing equipment, pack testing equipment, conveyors, compressors, and other automated production equipment will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
