About SNEHA

SNEHA is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization working to improve the health, nutrition, safety, and well-being of women and children in vulnerable urban communities. Through community engagement and collaboration with public systems, SNEHA works across areas including maternal and child health, adolescent health, violence prevention, palliative care, livelihoods, and public system strengthening. From 2016–2025, SNEHA directly reached over 620,555 people and indirectly impacted over 3.63 million across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Today, SNEHA is a 500+ member organization with a robust grassroots presence.

About the Finance Department

The Finance Department ensures responsible financial management through accounting, payments, banking, budgeting, payroll, statutory compliance, audits, and taxation, while maintaining transparency and accountability.

Role Snapshot

Designation: Finance Officer – Budget Monitoring
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Commerce
Experience:



Minimum 3 years in Accounts/Finance; non-profit experience desirable
Reports to: Finance Coordinator
Location: Chembur

Roles and responsibilties

- Budget monitoring, voucher checking, and Tally data entry
- Staff advance and vendor account reconciliation
- Bank reconciliation and financial record maintenance
- Supporting audits, statutory compliance, and funder requirements
- Coordinating with program teams on finance processes
- Supporting the Finance Coordinator with financial documentation and reporting

Key Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, Tally Prime, MS Office, planning, communication, multitasking, and teamwork.
