The MEP Lead shall be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire & Life Safety, ELV, and Building Services works for the project. The role will ensure adherence to quality standards, project timelines, budgetary requirements, statutory compliances, and safety norms while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities MEP Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, ELV, and Building Services works.
- Prepare and monitor project execution schedules in alignment with overall project milestones.
- Ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, resources, and contractor mobilization.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures to prevent delays.
Design & Engineering Coordination
- Review and validate MEP design drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, calculations, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and project teams for design integration.
- Participate in value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage MEP contractors, consultants, and vendors during project execution.
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations, quality standards, and timelines.
- Review progress, certify completed works, and support contractor billing processes.
- Conduct periodic review meetings and resolve site-related issues.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
- Monitor adherence to approved specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, fire norms, electrical regulations, and statutory approvals.
- Support internal and external audits related to project execution.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor MEP budgets and track project expenditures.
- Review variations, change orders, and cost implications of engineering decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality and functionality.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and project cost reviews.
Site Management & Coordination
- Supervise day-to-day MEP activities at site and ensure coordination among all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, Procurement, Contracts, Safety, and Facilities teams.
- Resolve technical challenges and ensure uninterrupted workflow execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
- Ensure systems are commissioned as per design intent and performance standards.
- Manage snag closure and pre-handover inspections.
- Facilitate project handover with complete documentation, manuals, warranties, and statutory clearances.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies and statutory safety requirements.
- Promote secure work practices across contractors and project teams.
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
- Track project KPIs relating to cost, quality, schedule, safety, and commissioning.
- Maintain documentation of drawings, approvals, inspection records, and project correspondence.
