we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Trade & Forex Sales Manager (RTFX) to drive business growth across Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange products.
The role will focus on acquiring recent clients, expanding relationships with existing customers, driving revenue through Trade & Forex solutions, and working closely with branches and internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Trade Finance, Foreign Exchange, client relationship management, sales, and regulatory compliance, along with a proven track record in banking sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Trade & Forex Business Development
- Drive sales of Trade Finance and Forex solutions across mapped branches and customer segments.
- Promote products covering imports, exports, Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, remittances, foreign exchange and related Trade & Forex solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Acquire new customers while deepening relationships with existing clients.
- Achieve assigned business, revenue and profitability targets.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through a consultative sales approach.
- Understand customer business requirements and provide suitable Trade & Forex solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor for customers on their trade and foreign exchange requirements.
- Increase wallet share by identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
3. Forex & Commercial Structuring
- Develop commercially viable Forex pricing and spread strategies in line with internal policies.
- Understand customer foreign exchange exposure and identify appropriate hedging solutions.
- Work with relevant internal teams to structure solutions that meet customer requirements while maintaining commercial viability.
4. Branch & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with mapped branches to generate Trade & Forex business.
- Conduct product awareness and capability-building sessions for branch teams.
- Support branches in lead generation, customer meetings, deal structuring and closure.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including operations, credit, compliance, treasury and other relevant teams for smooth execution.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all Trade & Forex transactions comply with applicable RBI, FEMA, AML/TBML and internal bank policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential transaction and customer risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ensure timely completion of approvals, documentation and transaction execution.
6. Business Performance
- Track business performance against assigned targets.
- Monitor the sales pipeline and maintain regular follow-ups for business conversion.
- Analyse market and customer trends to identify new opportunities.
- Provide regular business updates and performance reports to management.
Eligibility Criteria:
CDCS/CITF/CFE or other Trade & Forex Certifications Preferred
