Packaging Development / Senior Packaging Development Role

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Function: Packaging Development / R&D;

Qualification - Candidates from IIP, SIES preferred.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a packaging development professional to support the development, optimization and commercialization of innovative packaging solutions. The role will involve working across materials, packaging structures, suppliers, manufacturing and testing to deliver cost-effective, functional and scalable packaging solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and control packaging material specifications and artworks for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
- Conduct packaging machine trials and ensure packaging solutions comply with company requirements.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for packaging development and KLD activities.
- Coordinate with Product Development, Marketing, Production, Regulatory, Supply Chain, vendors and clients for NPD and packaging modifications.
- Benchmark competitor packaging and monitor market trends to identify alternate packaging solutions.
- Lead packaging projects,



maintain project trackers and ensure timely closure.
- Support SAP implementation related to packaging data and ensure packaging complies with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Support incoming packaging material QC, production-line troubleshooting, vendor coordination and audit documentation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Qualification in Packaging Technology, Polymer/Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in packaging development, R&D;, packaging engineering or quality.
- Good understanding of packaging materials, specifications, artworks, machine trials and testing.
- Robust cross-functional coordination, problem-solving and project management skills.
