Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Technical/Field Operations team. The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and support of network and internet connectivity services at customer sites.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of Networking, LAN/WAN, FTTH, Routers, Switches, Wi-Fi and basic RF wireless networking.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure and troubleshoot internet connectivity at customer locations.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, Wi-Fi devices and other networking equipment.
- Handle FTTH/ONT/ONU installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform LAN cabling, testing and basic network troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, NAT and basic routing issues.
- Visit customer sites for installation, maintenance and fault resolution.
- Diagnose connectivity, latency, packet loss and speed-related issues.
- Perform configuration and troubleshooting of wireless/RF links where required.
- Maintain proper records of site visits, installations and service complaints.
- Coordinate with the NOC/technical team for complex network issues.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and technical tickets.
- Follow company safety and installation procedures while working at customer sites.

Required Skills

- Basic to good knowledge of TCP/IP networking.




- Understanding of IP addresses, subnetting, gateway, DHCP and DNS.
- Knowledge of routers, switches and Wi-Fi networking.
- Basic knowledge of FTTH, ONU/ONT and fiber connectivity.
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN and WAN connectivity.
- Knowledge of MikroTik / TP-Link / Cisco / Fortinet will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of RF equipment such as Mimosa, Cambium or MikroTik Wireless will be an added advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel locally for customer/site visits.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant practical networking experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in ISP, Networking, FTTH or Field Technical Support preferred.
- Freshers with positive practical networking knowledge may also apply.

Additional Requirements

- Valid two-wheeler driving licence.
- Own two-wheeler preferred.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Comfortable working in field conditions.
