Description

Smart Stream’s Fees and Expense Management (FEMS) business seeks a Business Analyst being able to manage techno-functional role having knowledge of capital markets and AI. Experience and a proven track record of execution working on enterprise technology initiatives. Assignments will support IT, Operations and Continuous Improvement development activities. The candidate should have knowledge of sql developer, LLMs and Agentic AI.

Job Responsibilities

Successful applicants will have experience working with internal and external clients, collecting and organizing data, have the ability to define collection methodology, templates, and tools, and be skilled at defining and prioritizing work in an efficient manner. Key areas of responsibilities:

Requirements Management
Elicit, record and analyze requirements to enable traceability to a desired customer outcome
Document dependencies and interrelationships among requirements, as well as any assumptions
Use advance techniques to capture existing, new, and unknown requirements (e.g., brainstorming, process workflow diagrams, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reverse engineering)
Use tools that promote better understanding of the desired end-product such as visual aids, prototyping, and modeling tools
Stakeholder Management and Client Engagement
Directly engage functional owners and other stakeholders professionally, without supervision, and with appropriate messaging
Complete business case and impact analysis on implementing new changes
Document and clearly articulate the 'as is',



'to be' and transitional states for impacted users and delivery teams
Validate with stakeholders to confirm accuracy and completeness
Liaise between business units, technology teams and support teams to ensure the solution delivered meets all business needs and to avoid rework
Provide client engagement support to customers on behalf of FEMS
Solution Delivery
Identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
Contribute to the definition, design and delivery of solutions in accordance with specified scope, requirements, quality standards and target delivery dates
Complete full range of required project activities related to maintaining artifacts and documentation
Engage and support FEMS internal improvement initiatives as assigned
Able to evaluate process and identify process gaps and suggest recommendations for improvement
Able to use LLM tools and AI model to automate manual tasks. Understanding of latest technology trends in the market.

Key Skills

- Experience in the analysis of both business processes and the design of technology based solutions.

- Ability to understand, explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in a persuasive and convincing manner.

- Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.





- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple activities, and objectives.

- Experience with Jira, business process modelling, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and UML artifacts

- Highly competent in MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and UML modelling tools, Macros & python

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

- Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technical expertise.

- Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects.

- Ability to be precise and attentive to detail is essential.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Ability to work weekend and off-hour work on occasion.

- Ability to adapt and use AI in day-to-day tasks

- Understanding of LLM, agents and apply them to BAU

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge BC&E; (Brokerage, Clearing, and Exchange) expense categories, global securities market structure, and accounting

IIBA certification of ECBA; CCBA or CBAP preferred
Technically skilled in writing sql queries, macros and use of python

- Ability to adapt and use AI in day-to-day tasks

- Understanding of LLM, agents and apply them to BAU

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required.

Experience

Minimum 3 years' related experience.
