Role description
Responsibilities:
- Lead large international accounts (engagements) and find the opportunities of growing them.
- Lead initiatives to grow international tax practice.
- Perform Senior manager level review on international tax forms ( 5471s, 5472s, 8858, 8865, 1118, 1120F) and related schedules.
- Performing review of U.S. international tax provisions (e.g., Subpart F, Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income [GILTI], Foreign-Derived Intangible Income [FDII], and the Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax [BEAT]).
- Responsible for Quality Assurance for projects handled by the team.
- Monitor, document and apply any changes in tax rates, tax laws for US tax return preparation.
- Stay abreast of evolving international tax laws, treaties, and industry trends.
- Ability to identify technical issues on the engagements and to present with the recommendations to the engagement teams.
- Acting as subject matter expert (“Go To” Person) and be a conduit for knowledge sharing.
- Build professional relationship with the US engagement teams.

- Lead the team and manage their performance, guide and coach the team members.
- Supervise and mentor team, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Skills
Skills:
- Familiarity with tax treaties and their application to cross-border transactions, including permanent establishment rules, double taxation avoidance.
- Understanding of controlled foreign corporation (CFC) rules, foreign tax credit calculation, Income basket allocations.
- Experience in reporting U.S. persons’ interests in foreign partnerships (Form 8865).
- Experience on filing for foreign disregarded entities (FDEs) and branches.
- Experience on filing of foreign corporations’ U.S. tax returns (Form 1120 F), ECI, branch profits tax.
- In-depth knowledge of international tax regulations and cross-border transactions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with global teams
- A process improvement and knowledge-sharing mindset.
- Experience working with an outsourcing work stream or in a shared service environment required.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Proficiency with tax compliance software such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, GoSystem RS, CCH Axcess, including configuration and data management.
