Position: Accountant

Location: Guwahati, Kamrup Metro
Experience: 1–3 years preferred
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join our CA firm. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining client accounts, preparing accounting records, assisting with GST and TDS compliance, and supporting audit and taxation assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain books of accounts and accounting records for clients.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Perform bank, ledger, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and review GST-related data, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B workings.
- Assist with TDS calculations, returns, and related compliance.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and schedules.
- Support statutory, tax, and internal audit assignments.
- Assist in income-tax return preparation and related documentation.




- Coordinate with clients to obtain financial documents and resolve accounting queries.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of records.
- Perform other accounting and compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic income-tax compliance.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valuable communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Preferred

- Experience in a CA firm / accounting firm will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of accounting and tax software.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter qualification is an added advantage.

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
