Job Description: Application SRE Engineer

Location : Hyderabad preferred Bang & Pune

Experience: 6 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Application SRE Engineer to support application reliability, performance optimization, observability, and cloud operations. The role is ideal for professionals with prior application development experience who are interested in building expertise in Site Reliability Engineering and application performance engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application performance and availability issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and support reliability improvement initiatives.

- Assist in performance tuning of Java applications and JVM optimization activities.

- Analyze Heap Dumps, Thread Dumps, GC logs, and application performance metrics.

- Support implementation of observability solutions using Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.

- Participate in reliability reviews, resiliency assessments, and incident postmortems.

- Contribute to automation initiatives for monitoring, alerting, and operational tasks.

- Work with development and architecture teams to improve application scalability and reliability.

- Support cloud-based deployments and operational excellence across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Learn and contribute to Chaos Engineering, SRE best practices, and AIOps initiatives.

Required Skills

- 3-4 years of experience in Application Support, Software Engineering, Performance Engineering, or SRE-related roles.

- Strong understanding of Java applications and JVM fundamentals.

- Experience troubleshooting application performance issues.

- Exposure to:

- Linux Troubleshooting

- Kubernetes, Docker, Containerization troubleshooting

- Heap Dump and Thread Dump Analysis

- JVM Tuning Concepts

- Monitoring and Observability Tools





- Hands-on experience with at least one tool from Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.

- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience in Python, Shell - automation and scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in Application Development, Design, or Software Engineering.

- Exposure to microservices, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and performance optimization concepts.

- Cloud or observability certifications are a plus.
