Job Title: Senior Real-time Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Real-time Data Engineer to design and build a high-performance, customer-facing analytics platform processing millions of events daily.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with real-time analytics, OLAP systems, Apache Pinot, Cube.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka/Kinesis, and complex SQL.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and maintain a low-latency analytics architecture capable of supporting high-concurrency SaaS workloads.
- Build real-time ingestion pipelines from PostgreSQL and Kafka/Kinesis into Apache Pinot.
- Design and maintain a scalable Semantic Layer using Cube (Cube.js).
- Build consistent business metrics and analytical models used across dashboards, reports, and APIs.
- Optimize Apache Pinot tables, indexing strategies, and Cube pre-aggregations for sub-second analytics.
- Expose analytical data through REST/GraphQL APIs for frontend applications.
- Implement multi-tenant security and data isolation across customer accounts.
- Troubleshoot and optimize real-time data pipelines and analytical queries.

Required Skills





- 7+ years of relevant Data Engineering / Backend Data experience.
- 3+ years of production experience with Apache Pinot or similar OLAP technologies such as ClickHouse / StarRocks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cube (Cube.js), including pre-aggregations, security contexts, and multi-tenant configurations.
- Expert-level PostgreSQL and analytical query optimization.
- Strong understanding of CDC (Change Data Capture).
- Real-time streaming experience with Kafka, Debezium, Flink, or Kinesis.
- Strong proficiency in complex SQL.
- Proficiency in Node.js or Python for scalable backend/data services.
- Experience building high-performance real-time analytics and data pipelines.

Valuable to Have

- Experience in CRM, Sales Tech, or SaaS analytics platforms.
- Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Contributions to Apache Pinot, Cube, or other open-source data technologies.
- Experience handling millions of events and high-concurrency analytical workloads.
