Position Overview

KOVA Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Tool Room Purchase Engineer with strong knowledge of fasteners, tooling, dies, punches, gauges, and tool-room requirements. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, vendor development, cost negotiation, and timely procurement of tools and related materials required for fastener manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle purchase of tool-room items, dies, punches, tooling, gauges, cutting tools, fixtures, and related components.
- Develop and maintain a solid vendor/supplier network for tooling and fastener-related requirements.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and technical capability.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Understand technical drawings, specifications, grades, dimensions, and material requirements for tools and fasteners.
- Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams for purchase requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays or tool shortages.
- Prepare and process RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders, and follow-up schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality issues, rejection, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, vendor details, and procurement costs.
- Work on cost reduction and alternate vendor development.
- Support inventory planning for critical tooling and purchase items.




- Conduct regular market research to identify better-quality and cost-effective sources.

Required Technical Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of fasteners and fastener manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of cold forging, heading dies, punches, threading tools, rolling dies, trimming tools, and gauges will be preferred.
- Understanding of tool materials such as HSS, carbide, tool steel, etc.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools, dies, fixtures, and consumables.
- Good understanding of purchase procedures, vendor development, negotiation, and cost analysis.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional qualification in Purchase/Supply Chain will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement.
- Experience in fastener manufacturing, automotive components, forging, tool room, or engineering manufacturing will be highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Tool Room Purchase, preferably from the fastener manufacturing or engineering industry, with good knowledge of tooling, dies, punches, gauges, fasteners, and related suppliers.

Salary: As per experience and industry standards
Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
