What we are and what we do Gallagher Mohan works exclusively within the real estate industry Our mission is to provide financial analysis marketing and accounting support to our clients Our clients are real estatefocused private equity investors developers fund managers brokers and more We pride ourselves on our quality our strong communication and our work ethic We are a natural extension of our clients existing infrastructure The type of transactions we currently work on range from multifamily apartment complexes to large office towers in the United States and European markets and range in value sizes from 10 million USD 200 million USD We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced General Ledger GL Accountant to join our finance team As a GL Accountant you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records ensuring compliance with legal regulations and supporting the financial reporting process Key Responsibilities Prepare and Record Journal Entries Compile and analyze asset liability revenue and expense transactions ensuring accurate posting in the general ledger Account Reconciliation Verify allocate post and reconcile transactions while resolving discrepancies to maintain balanced accounts General Ledger Maintenance Transfer subsidiary accounts prepare trial balances and reconcile general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial data Financial Reporting Summarize financial status by collecting data and preparing balance sheets profit and loss statements and other reports Internal Audit Support Assist in internal audits by analyzing accounts providing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors Compliance and Legal Reporting Ensure adherence to legal requirements including preparing and filing financial reports MonthEnd and YearEnd Close Support the monthend and yearend close processes by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded Process Improvement Analyze current accounting procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy CrossDepartmental Support Provide accountingrelated support to other departments and respond to financial inquiries Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting role Proficiency in Excel and in accounting software Yardi Quickbook MRI highly preferred Robust analytical problemsolving and communication skills You must have Comfortable working pacific timings PST Time zones Minimum of 24 years of relevant experience is required Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbal and written
