Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Head to oversee the complete mechanical operations and technical requirements across all project sites of Roswalt Buildcon Private Limited.

The ideal candidate should have 15+ years of experience in construction/project environments, with strong hands-on expertise in tower cranes, passenger/material hoists, construction equipment, heavy machinery, mechanical systems, maintenance, safety and technical operations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, secure operation, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and technical performance of cranes and other mechanical equipment across all sites.

Key ResponsibilitiesCrane & Equipment Management

- Take overall responsibility for cranes and mechanical equipment across all project sites.
- Manage tower cranes, mobile cranes, material/passenger hoists and other construction equipment.
- Plan equipment deployment based on project requirements and construction schedules.
- Ensure proper installation, commissioning, operation and dismantling of cranes and equipment.
- Monitor equipment utilization, performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance and servicing of all mechanical equipment.

Technical & Maintenance Management

- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of cranes, hoists, machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose technical/mechanical issues and coordinate timely rectification.
- Review equipment condition and recommend repair, replacement or refurbishment wherever required.
- Maintain equipment maintenance schedules, service records and breakdown reports.
- Ensure availability of critical spares, tools and consumables.

Multi-Site Operations

- Monitor mechanical operations across all company project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess equipment condition, safety and performance.
- Coordinate with Site Heads, Project Managers, Engineers and contractors regarding mechanical requirements.




- Standardize mechanical maintenance and operating procedures across all sites.
- Provide technical support to site teams for complex mechanical issues.

Vendor & Contractor Management

- Coordinate with crane/equipment suppliers, AMC agencies, contractors, service engineers and vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance, service quality and technical capabilities.
- Review maintenance contracts, service agreements and equipment-related quotations.
- Coordinate equipment breakdowns and ensure timely deployment of service teams.
- Verify vendor bills and maintenance/service-related work completion.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure cranes and mechanical equipment are operated in accordance with applicable safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensure regular inspection, testing and certification of cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.
- Coordinate with safety teams for equipment inspections and compliance audits.
- Ensure operators and maintenance personnel follow appropriate safety procedures.
- Immediately address unsafe equipment conditions and recommend corrective actions.

Planning & Budgeting

- Prepare mechanical equipment requirements based on project schedules.
- Support management in equipment procurement, hiring and deployment decisions.
- Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets and equipment-related expenses.
- Analyze equipment downtime and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain records of equipment utilization, maintenance costs and performance.

Team Management

- Lead and guide mechanical engineers, supervisors, technicians and equipment operators across sites.
- Allocate manpower based on project and equipment requirements.
- Monitor team performance and ensure technical standards are maintained.




- Conduct regular technical reviews and training related to equipment operation and maintenance.

Reporting

- Prepare regular reports on:
- Crane and equipment availability
- Equipment utilization
- Preventive maintenance
- Breakdown and downtime
- Equipment deployment
- Safety and inspection status
- Vendor performance
- Maintenance expenditure
- Escalate major technical issues and equipment risks to senior management with suitable recommendations.

Requirements

- 15+ years of relevant experience in mechanical operations within construction, infrastructure, real estate or large-scale projects.
- Strong experience in tower cranes, mobile cranes, construction hoists and heavy construction equipment.
- Experience managing mechanical equipment across multiple project sites.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Strong vendor and contractor management experience.
- Knowledge of crane/equipment safety, inspection and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing mechanical teams across multiple sites.
- Strong planning, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working as Mechanical Head, Mechanical Manager, Equipment Head, Plant & Machinery Head, Senior Mechanical Manager or similar senior-level positions in construction/infrastructure companies are preferred.

The candidate should be capable of independently managing the technical and mechanical requirements of all project sites, with particular expertise in cranes, construction equipment, maintenance, equipment deployment, safety and technical troubleshooting.

Strong experience in high-rise residential construction projects will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
