About the Role

The CBZ Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Veterinarian to join our growing veterinary healthcare team.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating dogs, cats, birds and small companion animals. The role combines hands-on clinical practice with mentoring junior veterinarians, improving clinical standards and contributing to the growth and expansion of our hospital network.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Medical Care

- Examine, diagnose and treat dogs, cats, birds and other small companion animals.
- Attend patients on a first-come, first-served basis as well as scheduled appointments.
- Assess and prioritize emergency cases, traumatic injuries and responsible illnesses to ensure timely intervention.
- Perform routine health examinations, vaccinations and preventive healthcare.
- Diagnose and manage common medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform or assist with minor and routine surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-operative monitoring and follow-up care.
- Advise pet parents on nutrition, preventive healthcare, vaccination, deworming, flea/tick control and general animal care.
- Conduct home visits when clinically required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of patient care.

Client Communication & Relationship Management

- Build strong, long-term relationships with pets and their families.
- Explain medical conditions, treatment plans and procedures in simple, easy-to-understand language.
- Communicate treatment options, expected outcomes and follow-up requirements clearly.




- Handle clients with patience, empathy and professionalism.
- Promote preventive healthcare and responsible pet ownership.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

- Mentor and guide junior veterinarians and veterinary assistants.
- Support junior doctors in clinical decision-making, case management and emergency handling.
- Conduct case discussions and share clinical knowledge with the veterinary team.
- Train new veterinary assistants and support staff on clinical and patient-care protocols.
- Help establish and maintain consistent clinical SOPs and standards across the hospital.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of animal welfare, ethics and patient care.

Hospital Development & Growth

- Play an active role in improving the clinical operations and overall standards of CBZ Pet Hospital.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, clinical processes and service quality.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that can improve the hospital's medical capabilities and customer experience.
- Participate in developing protocols and systems that can be replicated across future CBZ locations.
- Support the management team in the expansion and development of the CBZ hospital chain.
- Contribute to building CBZ into a trusted, professional and high-quality veterinary healthcare brand.

Candidate ProfileEssential Requirements

- MVSc or equivalent veterinary qualification.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong experience in diagnosing and treating dogs and cats.
- Working knowledge of birds and other small companion animals.
- Experience in vaccinations, health checks, preventive healthcare and routine/minor surgeries.




- Good clinical reasoning and ability to handle cases independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with veterinary assistants and junior doctors.
- Willingness to conduct home visits when required.
- Genuine compassion and love for animals.
