Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in residential construction to manage and supervise on-site activities in Coonoor. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, capable of interpreting drawings, and confident in handling site execution independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction work at site
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, plans, and specifications
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, contour maps, and architectural/structural plans
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and site workers
- Monitor construction quality, materials, and workmanship
- Track project progress and maintain site reports
- Identify and resolve technical and on-site issues
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in residential/house construction
- Strong ability to read and understand CAD drawings, contour drawings, and construction plans
- Proven experience in site supervision and execution
- Willingness to work in office in Coonoor
Additional Requirements
- Must know how to drive a two-wheeler or four-wheeler for site travel
- Ability to independently supervise labour and contractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction in hilly terrain (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of Hindi and Tamil will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of estimation, billing, and material planning
