Key Responsibilities:

- The Proposal Engineer - Automation is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for automation projects
- Proposal Preparation: Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for automation projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of technical specifications and designs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labour, and equipment costs, to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.
- Work with procurement to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide technical clarifications during the proposal phase.
- Ensure that all risks are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to proposals, including technical specifications, commercial terms, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all proposal documents are reviewed and approved by relevant stakeholders before submission.
- Work closely with the sales, design, engineering, and project teams to ensure that all aspects of the proposal are aligned and meet client expectations.




- Coordinate with procurement and finance to ensure that all financial aspects of the proposal are accurate and feasible.
- Identify areas for improvement in the proposal development process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in post-project reviews to gather feedback and apply learning’s to future proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- 3-5 years of experience in proposal engineering, cost estimation, or a related role in the automation industry.

Skills:

- Strong technical knowledge in automation systems and solutions.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Robust organizational and time management skills.
