Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other requirements for our chocolate and chocolate-based products manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for vendor management, cost optimization, timely procurement, and maintaining uninterrupted material availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for the manufacturing unit.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for raw materials and packaging materials.
- Procure ingredients, packaging materials, consumables, machinery requirements, and other plant supplies.
- Negotiate with vendors for price, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Accounts, and other departments for procurement planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Compare quotations, prepare purchase orders, and maintain proper procurement documentation.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.




- Conduct vendor evaluations and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality specifications and standards.
- Maintain purchase MIS, vendor records, price comparisons, and procurement reports.
- Handle vendor issues related to quality, delivery, pricing, and payments.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Procurement will be an added advantage.
- 5–7 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in FMCG, Food, Confectionery, Chocolate, or related manufacturing industries.
- Good knowledge of sourcing food ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing consumables.
- Robust vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase/inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production-related procurement timelines.

Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
