Position General Manager Projects Operations JobLocation Aminjikarai Chennai Working Days 5 days a week Working Hours 9 00 AM to 6 30 PM Education Degree qualified in Engineering MBA PGDM in Operations Project Management or Business Management Preferred Experience 20 to 30 years of experience in industrial construction projects Minimum 10 years in a leadership role managing largescale construction projects Proven experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously Experience in industrial manufacturing automotive FMCG warehouse pharmaceutical or engineering facility projects We are seeking an experienced and resultoriented General Manager Projects Operations to lead and oversee multiple industrial construction projects across India The role will be responsible for project execution operational excellence profitability client satisfaction resource management and business growth The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in industrial construction projects such as manufacturing plants factories warehouses FMCG automotive engineering and pharmaceutical facilities Key Responsibilities Lead the planning execution and delivery of multiple industrial construction projects Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with quality and safety standards Drive operational excellence and improve project productivity across all project sites Monitor project schedules cost control resource utilization and overall project performance Review and manage project budgets cash flows profitability and commercial performance Build and maintain robust relationships with clients consultants contractors and key stakeholders Participate in project reviews client meetings contract negotiations and strategic decisionmaking Oversee contract administration change orders claims management and risk mitigation activities Ensure effective deployment of manpower equipment subcontractors and construction resources Lead project planning and controls functions including scheduling and progress monitoring Drive implementation of Health Safety Environment HSE and Quality Management Systems Provide leadership and guidance to Project Directors Project Managers and functional teams Develop succession plans and mentor highpotential employees within the organization Identify opportunities for business growth repeat business and operational improvements Ensure compliance with statutory requirements contractual obligations and company policies Prepare and present business and project performance reports to senior management Support tender reviews project feasibility assessments and business development initiatives Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and organizational performance
