Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in Canadian Accounting Taxation and Payroll The ideal candidate will have handson experience with Canadian accounting software financial reporting bookkeeping payroll and tax compliance The role involves managing client accounts coordinating with Canadian CPA firms and leading a team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of accounting services Key Responsibilities Manage monthend and yearend financial closing processes Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements Perform bank and account reconciliations Process payroll and ensure payroll compliance Prepare and file GST HST returns and other statutory filings Prepare and review Canadian tax forms including T1 and T2 Review bookkeeping accounting and compliance projects for accuracy Handle multiple client engagements while ensuring timely delivery Coordinate and communicate effectively with Canadian CPA firms and end clients Lead mentor and manage the accounting team Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements Required Skills Accounting Software QuickBooks Online QBO QuickBooks Desktop QBD Xero Dext Hubdoc Wagepoint Payworks Caseware Profile CCH Taxprep Technical Skills Advanced MS Excel VLOOKUP HLOOKUP Pivot Tables Accrual Cash Basis Accounting Financial Statement Preparation YearEnd Compilation Review Audit Engagements Bank Account Reconciliations GST HST QST Filing Payroll Processing Compliance PD7A T4 T4A T5 Payroll Remittances Experience with T1 T2 T3 T5013 T3010 Forms Preferred Candidate Profile Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and taxation Experience working with Canadian CPA firms or Canadian clients Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills Strong communication and client management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced workplace Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide team members Qualification Bachelors Masters Degree in Accounting CA CA Inter CPA Preferred
