Junior AI/ML Python Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior AI/ML Python Developer to build and maintain AI-powered applications, machine learning workflows, LLM integrations, and backend services. The role involves developing intelligent features, integrating AI models and APIs, working with vector databases, optimizing inference pipelines, and contributing to day-to-day product development within an AI-driven platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain AI/ML-powered backend services and APIs.
- Build and integrate LLM-based features using models such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or open-source LLMs.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases.
- Work with embeddings, semantic search, and intelligent data retrieval.
- Build data processing and AI inference pipelines.
- Fine-tune prompts and optimize AI workflows for performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with backend and product teams to deliver AI-powered features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Debug, optimize, and maintain existing AI systems.

Requirements

- 2-3 years of software development experience.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Transformers, Sentence Transformers, or similar.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, Together AI, etc.).
- Understanding of embeddings, vector search, and RAG architectures.




- Experience with REST APIs and backend development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within a large existing codebase.

Nice to Have

- Experience with FastAPI.
- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus, or pgvector.
- Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch semantic search.
- Experience with Docker and Linux.
- Experience with background workers, queues, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience building AI agents or multi-agent workflows.
- Startup or fast-paced product development experience.

2–3 years of qualified experience in Python development with exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or equivalent hands-on project experience.
