Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior SDET with strong expertise in Backend/API Automation Testing for Microservices-based applications.

The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable automation frameworks, validating distributed systems, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain API/backend automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Automate testing for microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate asynchronous workflows using messaging systems.
- Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Mentor QA engineers and improve automation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with a robust focus on Backend / API Automation.
- Hands-on experience testing Microservices-based applications.




- Strong expertise in REST API testing using REST Assured, HTTP Client, Postman, or similar tools.
- Excellent programming skills in Java with hands-on experience developing scalable automation frameworks.
- Robust experience with TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD integration.
- Hands-on experience validating asynchronous workflows using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or similar messaging platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including complex queries and joins.
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
- Experience validating applications deployed in Ephemeral or dynamic test environments.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and backend application architecture.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, or Splunk.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, automation architecture, and test automation design patterns.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra.
- Knowledge of contract testing, service virtualization, and mocking tools such as WireMock or Pact.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with performance and resilience testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
- Working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting.
