Job Description CATIA Design Engineer Plastics Position CATIA Designer Automotive Plastics Location Pune Tata Autocomp Duration 6 months rolling ThirdParty Payroll Experience 35 years Role Overview We are looking for a CATIA V5 design engineer with handson experience in automotive plastic component design TPC Trim Plastic Components or similar interior exterior plastic parts The candidate will support shortterm design activities including part modeling surface design assembly BOM creation and design validation for plastic components used in automotive applications Key Responsibilities 3D modeling and detailing of automotive plastic components using CATIA V5 Part Design Generative Surface Design Assembly Design Design of interior exterior trim parts brackets clips housings bumpers instrument panels door trims etc Creating and reviewing 2D drawings GD T for plastic parts Coordination with crossfunctional teams Manufacturing Tooling Quality for design feasibility DFM DFA checks for plastic injectionmolded components BOM creation and design change management ECR ECN Required Skills Solid handson experience in CATIA V5 Part Design Assembly Drafting Surface modeling Domain knowledge in Automotive Plastics interior exterior trims bumpers panels etc Understanding of plastic part design considerations draft angles wall thickness ribs snapfits etc Knowledge of GD T and engineering drawing standards Familiarity with injection molding process constraints preferred Qualification Diploma B E B Tech in Mechanical Automobile Production Engineering
