We are looking for an AI Engineer to enhance and operationalize KAI's GenAI architecture. The role will focus on strengthening the retrieval evidence pipeline, improving chunking/contextualization, implementing evaluation frameworks, and collaborating closely with Product/PM, SMEs, and platform/engineering teams to deliver measurable improvements in answer quality, reliability, and trust.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6+ years in AI Engineering with 1+ year in GenAI/RAG systems.

• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem:

- Microsoft Agent Framework

- Azure AI Search

- Azure AI Foundry

- Prompt Flow (or similar evaluation tooling)

• Hands-on experience with:

- RAG pipelines (retrieval → context assembly → generation)

- Vector search + hybrid search





- Chunking strategies and ingestion pipelines

• Robust understanding of:

- Grounding/factuality issues and hallucination failure modes

- Evaluation approaches (golden sets, LLM-as-judge, regression testing)

• Proficiency in Python (preferred) and/or TypeScript with the ability to implement services, pipelines, and automation.

• Experience in building telemetry/monitoring and working in DevOps environments.

• Comfortable collaborating with product and business stakeholders; able to explain technical trade-offs in plain language.
