Manager / Senior Manager – Mutual Fund Research & Product
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and market-oriented professional to lead mutual fund
research and product strategy for our distribution business. The role will be responsible
for evaluating mutual fund schemes, developing model portfolios, creating investment
content, and supporting business growth through data-driven product recommendations
and market insights.
Key Responsibilities
? Build and manage the mutual fund research framework, product selection methodology,
and model portfolio strategy for the distribution business.
? Track and evaluate mutual fund schemes across equity, debt, hybrid, passive, ELSS,
and solution-oriented categories.
? Develop curated recommended fund lists, SIP-focused portfolios, risk-based model
portfolios, and periodic market outlook reports.
? Prepare fund comparison reports, product notes, portfolio review materials, and
investment explainers for Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) and investors.
? Design and maintain robust fund evaluation frameworks covering performance,
risk-adjusted returns, portfolio quality, consistency, expense ratios, and fund manager
track records.
? Collaborate with Asset Management Companies (AMCs) to gather product insights, fund
manager commentary, market intelligence, and performance updates.




? Ensure all investment recommendations are research-backed, suitability-driven,
compliant with applicable regulations, and supported by documented rationale.
? Partner with sales, training, and digital teams to create straightforward, engaging, and
investor-friendly investment content and product communication.
? Monitor market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes to keep
research views and product recommendations relevant and up to date.
? Contribute to investor education initiatives and support internal stakeholders with
actionable research and portfolio insights.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business
Administration, or a related field.
? 5–10 years of experience in mutual fund research, investment products, wealth
management, or portfolio advisory.
? Strong understanding of mutual fund products, capital markets, portfolio construction,
and investment analytics.
? Familiarity with SEBI regulations and suitability-based investment practices.
? Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify
complex investment concepts.
? CFA, CA, CFP, NISM, or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
