Job Description – Alteryx Administrator (Power BI & SSRS)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Administrator with robust expertise in Alteryx Server Administration, Power BI, and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing the Alteryx platform while supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.

The candidate should possess strong administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and stakeholder management skills in a data analytics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Alteryx Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Alteryx Server environments.
- Manage Alteryx Gallery, Server Nodes, Workers, and Scheduling.
- Monitor server health, workflows, jobs, and platform performance.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, server issues, and connectivity problems.
- Manage user access, permissions, authentication, and security policies.
- Perform platform patching, upgrades, backup, and disaster recovery activities.
- Collaborate with business users and developers to ensure efficient workflow execution.

Reporting & Analytics





- Support and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Manage report deployment and administration in SSRS.
- Ensure report availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Assist business teams in troubleshooting reporting and data-related issues.

Performance & Governance

- Optimize Alteryx workflow performance and resource utilization.
- Implement governance, monitoring, and best practices for analytics platforms.
- Develop operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in incident management, RCA, and problem management activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Architects, and Business Teams.
- Provide L2/L3 support for analytics platforms and reporting services.
- Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure recommendations.
