Key Responsibilities Develop and review detailed electrical design documents including single line diagrams wiring schematics cable schedules panel layouts and earthing and lightning protection drawings Perform electrical load calculations short circuit analysis cable sizing and voltage drop calculations Prepare equipment specifications data sheets and technical requisitions for procurement Coordinate with mechanical instrumentation civil and process engineering teams for integrated design development Review and validate vendor drawings technical submittals and equipment datasheets for compliance with project specifications Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable standards such as IS IEC IEEE NEC or BS as per project requirements Participate in design review meetings HAZOP sessions and technical discussions with clients and project teams Identify and resolve design conflicts clashes and technical queries during project execution Prepare and maintain complete electrical engineering deliverables as per project schedule and quality standards Mentor junior electrical designers and draftsmen within the team as needed
